How to meet the demands of serving 12 million passengers? GT series gates at Port of Tallinn
Port of Tallinn is a key point on the Baltic Sea map, serving as many as 12 million travelers annually. The scale of this logistical challenge places the highest demands on technological infrastructure. To meet these demands, the port authority opted for Gastop brand solutions.
The Challenge: Precision on a Macro Scale Initial project assumptions envisioned a simple control system. However, after many months of consultations, it was recognized that a standard approach would not suffice for such immense traffic volume. The key requirement became ensuring maximum fluidity of passenger flow without compromising security.
Gastop’s Answer: Advanced GT Gates The answer to these rigorous requirements was the delivery of GT series gates (model GT-2). It should be emphasized that Gastop supplied advanced physical access control devices to this location, which are distinguished by the following features:
-
Efficiency: The devices are designed for continuous operation in areas with very high pedestrian traffic.
-
Intuitive Configuration: Thanks to the touch panel, setting operating modes and functions is simple and fast.
-
Flexibility: The modular design allowed for perfect adaptation of the devices to the unique space of the terminals.
Implementation and Partnership The investment, valued at $2,289,832, was carried out in close cooperation with a local partner from Estonia. Gastop provided not only the devices themselves but also full substantive support and technical instructions for installers
